Delhi Baba Says He Is MBA, PhD. Then More Claims About Steve Jobs, Obama

Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, a Delhi-based self-styled godman facing multiple allegations of sexual harassment, is now under investigation for questionable academic achievements and international recognition claims promoted through his books and public profiles.

According to reports, he presented himself as a highly qualified management expert, claiming to hold an MBA and PhD from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, along with post-doctoral qualifications and multiple honorary degrees from Indian and foreign universities. Police sources suspect that many of these academic claims may be fake and are conducting a detailed probe.

Several of his books describe him as an “internationally acclaimed writer” with 28 published titles and more than 140 research papers. One book reportedly included a foreword attributed to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, while another claimed that former US President Barack Obama referred to his book during election campaigns.

The publications also featured appreciation messages allegedly linked to global figures, including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, further enhancing his public image as a renowned academic and spiritual leader. However, investigators believe much of this information may have been exaggerated or fabricated.

The scrutiny comes amid ongoing criminal investigations, as the accused is facing serious allegations of harassment at a management institute in Delhi where he served as a senior figure. Authorities have issued alerts and are examining both the criminal complaints and the authenticity of his academic and professional credentials.
