DTU Opens PhD Admissions for January 2026 Session
New Delhi: Delhi Technological University (DTU) has officially commenced the PhD admission process for the January 2026 session, inviting eligible candidates to apply for research programmes across multiple disciplines. The application window has been opened by the university, providing a valuable opportunity for aspiring researchers to secure admission in one of India’s leading technical institutions.
According to the notification, DTU is accepting applications for PhD programmes in over 20 departments, including Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Design, Delhi School of Management and several others.
The university has structured its PhD offerings into multiple categories, such as:
Full-time PhD with scholarship
Part-time PhD
PhD for industry/working professionals
PhD without scholarship
Candidates holding UGC-NET/JRF or equivalent fellowships are exempted from the DTU entrance test, and other applicants must go through the university’s selection process based on written tests and interviews where applicable.
DTU has announced approximately 200 seats for the January 2026 research intake, giving a diverse range of candidates options to pursue doctoral research in engineering, management, humanities, and interdisciplinary fields.
